How does a Double Deck Screen Works?

A double deck screen uses two layers of screening surfaces to separate material into three different sizes in a single pass.

Material is fed onto the top deck, where the largest openings allow smaller particles to fall through to the lower deck. Larger material continues across the surface and exits as oversize.

The material that passes through the top deck then moves onto the second deck, which has smaller openings. Here, finer particles fall through to form a third product, while the remaining material exits as a mid-sized fraction.

This process enables efficient, multi-size separation in one machine.
